How Service RP uses cookies and browser storage

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Local storage and session storage keep information in your browser without using a traditional cookie. We refer to these tools together as browser-storage technologies.

First-party technologies are placed by Service RP on the Service RP website. A third-party service may use its own technologies when you enable an integration, open an embedded tool, or visit that provider's website.

The technologies described below support a business application. They are not used by Service RP to show targeted advertising on public pages.

Service RP and Supabase use authentication and session cookies to sign users in, refresh secure sessions, protect account access, and complete sign-in security checks. Cookie names may be split into multiple parts, and their duration depends on the session and the user's Remember me choice.

Blocking essential cookies can prevent sign-in, session refresh, and security checks from working correctly.

The NEXT_LOCALE session cookie helps the site use the selected language. When you change languages, Service RP also stores roofpro.locale in a first-party cookie and local storage for up to one year so the preference remains available on later visits.

If you select Remember me when signing in, the rp_remember_me cookie stores that choice for up to 30 days. It stores the preference, not your password, and it is cleared when the option is turned off.

Service RP also uses short-lived session-storage markers for actions such as sign-in and sign-out messages, one-time notices, experiment exposure, and workflow handoffs. These markers normally disappear when the browser session ends.

Service RP does not currently initialize PostHog product analytics for anonymous visitors on public legal pages. For signed-in users, PostHog starts only after the stored Product Analytics preference has loaded and is enabled.

When enabled, product analytics may use generated ph_ browser identifiers, cookies, local storage, and session storage to record page views, feature interactions, product experiments, survey timing, and performance events. Optional session replay masks typed inputs and page text in the current configuration.

Service RP may also send scrubbed diagnostic and performance events to Sentry when monitoring is enabled. Service RP does not define a Sentry cookie, and the monitoring configuration is designed not to send default personal information.

Service RP uses service providers for authentication, analytics, monitoring, calendars, document signing, maps, weather information, email, hosting, and storage. These providers process requests only when the related feature is used or enabled.

DocuSeal signing tools, Mapbox maps, and other provider pages or embeds may use provider-domain cookies or storage under their own notices. Service RP does not control cookies placed on a separate provider's website.

The Service RP Privacy Policy explains more about the information we collect, why we use it, and the service providers or authorized parties with whom information may be shared.

Session cookies and session storage usually remain until the browser session ends. The Remember me preference can remain for 30 days, and the stored language preference can remain for up to one year.

When Product Analytics is enabled, PostHog browser identifiers may remain for up to one year unless analytics is turned off, the identifier is reset, or browser storage is cleared. Authentication-cookie duration follows the active session and Remember me settings.

Durations can be shorter if you clear browser data, sign out, disable a feature, or use browser settings that limit storage. Provider-managed durations may change when a provider updates its technology.

Signed-in users can turn Product Analytics on or off in the Security section of Service RP Settings. Analytics remains off while the saved preference is unavailable or disabled.

You can change the language preference through the language control and change Remember me during sign-in. You can also delete or block cookies and site data through your browser settings.

Blocking or deleting essential storage may sign you out, reset preferences, or prevent parts of Service RP from working.

Depending on where you live and how applicable privacy law applies, you may have rights involving access, correction, deletion, copies of information, or opt-outs from certain uses of personal information.

Service RP does not currently use cookies or similar technologies to deliver targeted advertising. Service RP does not currently use browser-based privacy signals as a substitute for the controls described above. Service RP is a business platform and is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly use cookies or similar technologies to collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe a child has provided information through Service RP, contact us so we can review the situation and take appropriate steps.

We may update this Cookie Policy when our technology, service providers, legal requirements, or product controls change. When we update it, we will revise the date at the top of the page.

If a change materially affects how users can control browser-storage technologies, we may provide additional notice through the platform, by email, or by other reasonable means.
